Teach a full range of lecture and lab credit courses of massage therapy basic science and massage theory, practice and clinical. Assist in the development of continuing education for students. Maintain proficiency in and the ability to teach hands-on massage therapy skills including advanced techniques. Learn, follow and teach the program’s established massage techniques and protocols. Assist with and accompany students to any off-site activities or clinicals. Teach courses during evenings, weekends, days as well as distance learning.
Master Degree in any field from a regionally accredited institution.
Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, or related health career field, with a minimum of 8 semester undergraduate credit hours (or 12 quarter hours) of Human Anatomy and Physiology courses with lab.
Must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a licensed Massage Therapist and be licensed by the State Medical Board of Ohio. Candidates who have out-of-state license, and a minimum of 5 years experience, must pass the MBLEx exam and be licensed by the Ohio medical board by November 30, 2013. Prior experience or training in Trigger Point Therapy and Myofascial Release.
Demonstrated teaching and clinical experience.
Proficiency in word-processing and presentation software, Internet and email.

Classes as assigned, beginning January (Spring semester) 2012.
Ability to work a combination of days/evenings/weekends is required.
Assignments may include working at multiple sites/campuses.

Salary is based on a 36-week academic year Fall and Spring Semesters).
