The Department of Plant, Soil, and Agricultural Systems at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is seeking qualified applicants for positions of Instructor(s) (Variable-Time). These are term, non-Tenure-Track positions.
Undergraduate Courses Needing Instructors Are As Follows: Soil Science, intro to Ag Tech, Intro to Ag Systems, Consumer and Commercial Power Equipment, and Ag Safety and Health. Qualifications: Master's degree required (with Bachelor's or Master's degree in Plant, Soil and Ag Systems or closely related field). Education and experience must be appropriate to teaching assignment. Teaching experience at the college level and/or experience in teaching Agricultural Systems or Soils courses preferred.
Effective Date of Appointment: Anticipated positions will begin Spring semester 2015 (January 1, 2015) and/or Fall semester 2015 (August 16, 2015).
Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate courses as indicated above. Advise students, and participate in academic service activities as assigned.
