This position is responsible for coordinating several Volunteer & Service-Learning Center programs. Program Coordinator is responsible for marketing the Center programs to UVU students, staff, faculty and the community. The coordinator advises students, travel to meetings and conferences around the state and represent the center on community boards and groups as assigned by the director. The coordinator also supervises part-time employees and volunteers of the center.
Graduation from an accredited institution with an bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or a combination of education and experience totaling four years.
Experience in service-learning, community outreach, community development, alternative breaks and student leadership programs
Knowledge of trends and practices in volunteerism and service-learning, including alternative breaks methodology.
Knowledge of computer and software applications, including word processing and publication software.
Interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Skills in public relations functions.
Ability to assist with the management of student volunteers and employees.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing
Ability to communicate with and educate a number of diverse stakeholder groups.
