Under immediate supervision, provides general office support. The position serves as secretarial support for the day-to-day operations of the assigned area(s) including preparing correspondence and reports as directed.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Personal Characteristics

Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, copying forms, and other office procedures and terminology; knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction, proficient in computer software skills e.g. word processing & spreadsheets; ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand; ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one from predefined guidelines or solutions; ability to easily navigate the internet; ability to use interpersonal and communications skills to represent the work area.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Education and 1 to 3 years of experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Greets visitors or callers and handles their inquiries or directs them to the appropriate persons according to their needs.

Responds to inquiries requiring a basic understanding of work-area policies and procedures.

Generates basic reports and handles multiple projects.

Schedules and confirms appointments for clients, customers, or supervisors.

Makes copies of correspondence or other printed material.

Performs other duties as assigned.
