The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain a nationally recognized externally funded research program. CRMTH maintains a current research portfolio which focuses on media exposure and substance use. Please visit the other areas of this website for more information regarding its activities and focus.
The successful candidate will either (1) bring complementary experience in a different area (such as nutrition, mental health, physical activity, and/or quality of clinical care) or (2) support our current work related to substance use, including alcohol, tobacco, and/or other drugs. The successful candidate will have outstanding departmental support, strong research infrastructure, excellent departmental colleagues, and potential for collaborative and translational opportunities throughout the university and community.
• Earned research doctorate (e.g., PhD or ScD) or medical degree (e.g., MD or DO) with appropriate post-graduate research training. Prior research focus may include training in medicine, behavioral health, public health, exercise science, health communication, substance use, or a related field.
• Demonstrated promise to attract external funding related to media, technology, and health outcomes.
• Strong record of dissemination of scholarly work, and outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• Commitment to participate in teaching, mentoring, and supervision of undergraduate and graduate-level students in medicine, public health, or other related fields.
