Position: Assistant Professor of Elementary Education K-6 Generalist (Tenure Track)

Minimum Qualifications:
• Earned doctorate in Elementary Education or closely related field
• Minimum 3 years full-time K-6 general education classroom teaching experience
• Ability to pursue a research agenda and external funding with evidence of scholarly potential
• Ability to teach courses in K-6 methods of teaching and assessing mathematics or science
• Ability to teach courses in general elementary education
• Ability to integrate technology into instruction including web-assisted and other alternative delivery models
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity
• Demonstrated success working in collaborative settings

Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to teach methods of teaching and assessing math, science, and social studies
• Experience with diverse school contexts
• Experience teaching special education and/or working with special education teachers

Responsibilities:
• Teach undergraduate courses in teaching and assessing mathematics, science, social studies and general education for the Multiple Abilities Program
