Detailed Job Description

Coordinates all aspects of sports information including media relations and publications. Assists with game operations and management including press row operations. Oversees and maintains statistical data and historical records. Assists in the management of the social media channels. Organizes the Hall of Fame selection.


Manage the office of sports information (100%)
*Coordinate athletic media relations
*Create press releases
*Coordinate production of media guides, game programs and schedule cards.
*Record-keeping and distribution of statistical information to local media outlets, NCAA statistical services, conference and visiting teams.
*Oversees athletic web site *Assist with game operations and management including press row operations.
*Coordinate Hall of Fame Selections.

This position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing and Promotions.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as journalism, communications or sport’s management.

One year of sports information experience required.

The successful candidate must possess strong writing, and editing skills (Note: this will be assessed through writing sample)

At least two years of experience using Computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).

Experience and working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in journalism, communications or sport’s management.

Two years experience as an intercollegiate sports information director.

Must possess organizational skills along with the ability to work under deadlines.
