Under the general direction of the Financial Aid Support Manager, the Financial Aid Liaison has overall responsibility for activities related to assisting students with understanding their financial aid process.
Provide information to prospective and enrolled students regarding financial aid program requirements and procedures.
Research financial aid issues; review forms for completeness and accuracy, verify information reported on student applications and other documentation.
Demonstrate integrity and ethical behavior in working with confidential information.
Interpret, apply, and comply with federal, state and institutional regulations governing student financial aid.
Maintain current working knowledge of guidelines and regulations related to financial aid.
Maintain close working relationship with all university departments and personnel.
Participate in all meetings and training as assigned.
Provide exemplary student service at all times which includes using excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Demonstrate an ability to problem solve issues with students by using critical thinking skills.
Being at work on time and maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment.
Flexibility to work occasional hours and Saturdays as needed.
High School diploma
Experience in financial aid preferred.
Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
