Teaching responsibilities include participation in general education biology, introductory courses in biology, human anatomy and physiology, and upper-level courses related to field of expertise. Instructional delivery can occur through on-line, traditional, and alternative instructional methods and can occur on main campus or off-site educational locations. Voluntary summer contracts may be available. Other responsibilities include establishing a research program involving undergraduate/masters students. Research area is open. Ph.D. in biology or closely related discipline required. The successful candidate must be able to provide advisement and leadership in general biology and allied health programs. University teaching experience in human anatomy and physiology and introductory biology preferred. A demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations is preferred. Finalists for the position must communicate well and successfully complete an interview process including a teaching demonstration and research seminar as judged by the department faculty. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Position begins Fall 2013.
