Under general direction, provides web design support for the department promoting growth in the areas of education, consultations, and referrals; provides Information Technology (IT) support to the Neurosurgery department as needed to meet University guidelines; administers Website development and production for public relations/marketing aspects of the department; performs technical strategy activities and production of Web-related material.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Personal Characteristics

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree; supplemented with 2- 3 years of related work experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Develops, edits, and maintains all programming needs for project automation and website maintenance; performs database integration; provides graphic design and develops graphic productions; oversees web development activities.

Coordinates web development activities for marketing and public relations functions; provides web support for efforts involving faculty and resident recruitment, department development, promotion of Department of Neurosurgery programs and faculty expertise.

Works with faculty and residents in assisting research programs requiring statistical analysis; performs other duties as assigned.

Researches and develops web-related techniques, applications, and emerging technologies; develops and performs statistical analysis techniques for evaluation of website use and tracks data from website.

Responsible for systems administration, trouble shooting and hardware/software upgrades to meet the IT support needs for the clinical and research faculty and staff.
