Highland seeks a full-time, tenure track English composition instructor to teach transitional and college-level English composition courses each fall and spring semester, beginning fall semester 2013. Summer teaching assignments may also be available. Additional responsibilities of the position include curriculum development, assessment of student learning, and other related curricular and committee responsibilities. Master's degree in English composition or English required. Successful teaching experience at post-secondary level preferred, ideally in a community college setting, and excellent written and oral communication skills are essential. Experience in online delivery modes preferred. Strong preference will be given to candidates who are student-centered and value the importance of collegiality.
