Saint Louis University School of Medicine, a Catholic Jesuit institution dedicated to education, research, service and healthcare, has initiated a national search for the next Chair and Professor, Department of Dermatology. The successful applicant will be a distinguished academic physician prepared to provide leadership in clinical, education and research development.
The ownership of Saint Louis University Hospital (SLUH) recently was transferred from Tenet to SSM Health – St. Louis, a Catholic system with 7 hospitals in the St. Louis region, including Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center, which shares our medical campus with SLUH. The new chair will be expected to actively engage with SSM to develop a strong system-wide Dermatology Program.
Minimum qualifications are board certification in dermatology, a distinguished record of clinical excellence, research productivity and skill in managing an academic clinical practice in a managed care environment. The department has 8 full-time faculty members, including generalists and subspecialists, a fully accredited residency program and a Mohs fellowship program.
