Job Summary

This position provides professional services to faculty and staff to support the teaching and learning mission of the college. The Instructional Technologist provides training and support for digital course content development, Blackboard end-users, and other tools for online collaboration and interactivity. This individual develops and delivers training and documentation (print and video) to a diverse population of faculty to assist them in being successful users of instructional technologies. The position will also
collaborate with faculty in areas such as course development, instructional design, and assessment and evaluation of instructional outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

This position requires frequent and effective written and oral communications with others, flexibility in adapting to the needs of changing instructional technology landscape (including cross-training with team members), and the ability to work successfully as part of a team. A Master's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Educational Media, Instructional Systems Design, or related field is required.  

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated experience integrating technology into the teaching and learning process. Experience designing and producing web-based course materials, including web resources and other digital course materials for delivery online. Experience with an array of instructional technologies (e.g., Web 2.0, LMS, lecture capture, etc.). Knowledge of emerging technologies as related to teaching both traditional and hybrid approaches. Evidence of excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a team and establish collegial relationships with faculty, staff and peers.
