Tenure Track position to teach undergraduate graphic design courses, maintain an appropriate level of peer recognition for professional graphic design work, serve on departmental, school or university committees, and mentor and motivate students to excel and create compelling portfolios. If requested, must be willing to serve as area coordinator. Coordinator duties include overseeing curriculum, supervising student activities and instruction, scheduling of courses, hiring, training, and overseeing adjunct instructors and managing the area budget.
Graduation from an accredited institution with terminal, earned degree appropriate to discipline. ABD accepted. Knowledge and skill in current instructional theories, strategies, techniques, and discipline content. Evidence of potential for scholarly/creative work consistent with a teaching university. See preferred qualifications for discipline or program-specific minimum qualifications.
Graduation from an accredited institution with an MFA degree in Graphic Design or a related field OR any combination of education and experience totaling 6 year(s).
Three to five years of college level graphic design teaching experience preferred.
Thorough working knowledge of Macintosh computers.
Significant working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
Ability to practice and teach graphic design from a strong concept-driven perspective.
Must have experience with one or more of the following: Branding, Typography, UI/UX, Motion Graphics.
