The Educational Materials Specialist assists with the selection, preparation and distribution of both electronic and print materials to the University’s students around the world. This position is within the combined online library and course materials center and reports directly to the manager of electronic course materials.
Works collaboratively with department chairs, faculty, and other Academic support staff to further the electronic delivery of course materials to students and faculty, to include web-based multimedia products.
Assists students with course material and library inquiries, via an email and phone queue.
Provides Academic staff with course and library materials as requested.
Assists with evaluating course materials to ensure copyright compliance.
Utilizes reports and spreadsheets to maintain accuracy and provide information.
Works daily in multiple databases and online interfaces to perform tasks.
Supports the library staff and manager of electronic course materials.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Self-starter requiring minimum supervision.
High School Diploma required.
Some college or work experience equivalent desired.
Strong Microsoft Office skills required. Experience with Microsoft Access preferred.
Previous work experience in online information services preferred.
Familiarity with office automation packages and knowledge of web software preferred.
Working knowledge of copyright law and/or ADA 508 compliance preferred.
Experience working with web-based multi-media preferred.
