Job Description:

Reporting to the Associate Director of Grants Management, the Grants Management Associate will perform day-to-day grant management activities including processing grant-related transactions, generating financial reports and invoices, and submitting to funding agencies in a timely and efficient manner, updating and assisting grant coordinators with budget management and reporting requirements, and adhering to financial procedures of the College.

Specific Duties:

  • Obtaining approvals and track actions on grant-funded payroll transactions
  • Review grant guidelines and assist associate director with producing grant fiscal reports
  • Regularly review process for grant compliance for grant related transactions
  • Generate financial reports and invoices for receipt of grant funds
  • Meet with various College staff to discuss contractual obligations including program goals and objectives; eligible and ineligible activities/costs; budget restrictions; budget modification procedures reporting requirements; and start-up, implementation and close-out procedures. Assist with monitoring/tracking grant outcomes
  • Prepare and submit requests to funding agencies for budget modifications
  • Coordinate the set-up of grant accounts with grant coordinators
  • Assist with payroll reporting and effort certification reporting
  • Assist with monitoring sub-contracts/sub-awards
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy grant files


  • Bachelor's degree in business/public administration, management, accounting or related field. Three years of experience in grants and/or in higher education preferred
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail in working with numbers and written information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and financial systems/databases
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and listening skills
  • Ability to interact with diverse groups of faculty and staff, and with external funding agencies
  • Ability to respond and work effectively and efficiently in a multi-tasking environment with deadlines
  • Ability to maintain discretion with confidential material

Salary Range: $45,000.00-$50,000.00
