Detailed Job Description
The STEM Initiatives Coordinator, in the School of Science and Technology, will work closely with all of the School's academic programs encompassing computer technologies, engineering disciplines, biological sciences, and physical sciences and will manage the community outreach and internal coordination to implement initiatives to increase student recruitment, success, completion, and job/internship placement in these programs. The Coordinator will, also, manage assigned personnel whose primary function it is to increase recruitment, success, completion and job/internship placement of students in these programs.
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline required (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field).
Minimum of five years of professional experience including project management, grant writing/management, communications/public relations, budget management.
Experience in college-level teaching and academic advising of STEM students.
Minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lead, manage, and collaborate with a diverse student body, faculty, staff, administrators, and the public.
Knowledge of Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, or Computer Technologies, Computer Science, Digital Forensics, Biological Sciences, or Physical Sciences or a closely related field required.

Graduate degree in a STEM discipline required (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field) and professional industry certifications.
