Detailed Job Description

Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service, is seeking applicants for a one-year Non-Tenure Track Instructor of ESL and Coordinator of the English Language Center in the ESL Program to begin August 15. The candidate must have at least an MA in TESL and/or an MA or PhD in linguistics or a modern language and culture. The coordinator will be responsible for the writing assessment program, consultant training and preparation of test materials, as well as teaching two writing courses a semester. The candidate should possess experience in teaching writing in a content-based language program. Service is expected in testing, placing and advising ESL students, service- learning projects and curricular planning.
