Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care and service offers a 12 month tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology in the Saint Louis University School of Medicine. The Department has active research programs in molecular virology, viral pathogenesis, viral vectors, anti-viral drug therapy, biodefense, vaccine development, autoimmunity, immune tolerance, regulatory T cell biology, T cell immunology and tumor immunotherapy, cytokine function, and osteoimmunology http://medschool.slu.edu/mmi/. We seek to expand our expertise in viral pathogenesis and viral immunology, especially of RNA viruses.
The candidate must have a Ph.D, M.D./Ph.D, or M.D. degree as well as post doctoral experience. Candidates will be expected to develop and maintain a strong externally-funded research program and to train graduate students. Laboratory space including state-of- the-art enhanced BSL-3 and A-BSL-3 laboratories with live cell sorter in the new Doisy Research Center will be available along with competitive start-up and salary packages.
