Develop Academic Assessment & Research Office operations. Develop, improve, & conduct plans/strategies for assessing student learning & institutional effectiveness. Use statistical research methods to research, evaluate, & prepare recommendations on curricular improvement to maximize student learning/comply w/ accreditation standards. Review academic programs. Design & coordinate student learning assessment projects. Conduct, analyze, & report on research studies. Collect & analyze cohort data/tracking cohorts. Design, administer, & analyze surveys to assess student/alumni educational experience satisfaction & learning; tests & faculty rubrics to assess student achievement of learning outcomes; & other social scientific research procedures to assess institutional effectiveness, program objectives, & student learning. Analyze & interpret quantitative/qualitative data. Evaluate effectiveness of general education curricula. Assess educational needs of students. Advise educators on how to assess student learning. F/T.
Requires a PhD, or foreign equivalent, in a quantitatively-oriented Social Science field with emphasis on educational research, and one year of higher education institutional research/ assessment experience as a Research Associate. Experience with the following required: SPSS; managing longitudinal data; creating merged data; managing assessment projects; research & survey design and implementation; statistics, data analysis, and predictive analytics; and qualitative research.
