The Department of Nutrition at Metropolitan State University of Denver is seeking applicants for a Tenure Track or Tenured faculty position to teach introductory and advanced human nutrition courses. The candidate will be an integral member of the Nutrition Department and will be required to follow those responsibilities outlined in the MSU Denver Handbook for Professional Personnel.
Teach a minimum of 24 credit hours (or equivalent) per academic year and maintain 5 office hours per week to include advising and consultation with students. Responsible for teaching undergraduate nutrition courses. Service to the university and scholarly activity are also required. The University is particularly interested in applicants who have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for under-represented groups. ABD or Doctoral Degree in Dietetics, Foods and Nutrition, Food Science/Technology, Public Health Nutrition, or other nutrition-related field.
Registered Dietitian and at least 2 years of work experience in nutrition. Previous teaching experience at the university level and experience with developing and teaching online nutrition courses.
