The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in experimental particle physics. The position will be either in neutrino or dark matter physics, and the appointment should begin August 16, 2016. This position is intended to strengthen or complement the existing efforts in these two areas, currently consisting of EXO and LZ. Related research areas in the department include experimental and theoretical high energy physics, as well as experimental and theoretical astroparticle physics. The minimum qualifications are a Ph.D. or equivalent and postdoctoral experience in experimental particle or nuclear physics.
