Detailed Job Description

Under the supervisor and departmental staff’s direction, the Project Manager 1 – Energy/Utilities tracks, monitors and records energy usage throughout campus. Manages small energy projects and makes recommendations on energy conservation projects.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation with a associate’s from an regionally accredited institution in a related academic discipline plus two years of professional experience in project management or a combination of education and experience totaling four years.

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Energy Manager Certification (CEM) preferred.

Associates degree or on track to receive associates degree in Energy Management.


Knowledge of energy tracking and metering.

Knowledge of project management principles.

Knowledge of electrical, lighting, renewable energy, and HVAC systems and controls.


Skills in MS excel and word.

Skills in ArcGIS, ArcMap, AutoCAD would be helpful.


Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.

Ability to Manage small energy projects.

Ability to read construction plans.

Pay Range

$16.92 to $21.15 per hour
