Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing & Public Relations, the Director of Public Affairs is responsible for internal and external communications, working closely with academic and administrative offices to develop and implement strategies and objectives that promote regional campus bachelor’s and associate degrees, campus programs and events, and success stories among regional campus students, faculty and staff.
Requires membership and active participation in local civic and business organizations. Other duties as assigned. Some evening and weekend work required.
Bachelor’s degree. At least one year of progressively more responsible experience as a communications professional. Strong writing and public speaking skills. Ability to strategize, develop and implement communications plans.
Master’s degree in communications or related field. Thorough understanding of changing technologies and trends in public relations and mass communications, including social media. Familiarity with technical and digital communications, including digital signage.
