Adjunct Instructor, World History
The Department of Interdisciplinary Studies is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach world history. The course is divided into two parts: World History I, to be taught every fall and World History II to be taught every Spring. World History I covers the history of the world till the end of the Middle Ages and includes the rise of ancient and medieval civilizations in the Middle East, Europe, and Asia; World History II continues the study of human history beginning with the rise of the west and the age of exploration, surveying major concepts such as colonialism, nationalism, and the various political ideologies of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and their impact on Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
Master’s degree in history required, doctorate in history preferred. Course may be taught face-to-face or online.
