Quinnipiac University invites applications for the position of Secretary - Development & Alumni Affairs, to perform all secretarial duties required to support the associate vice president for development and the major gifts program and the department.
To perform typing/word processing duties including correspondence, budgets and mail-merge projects and prepare reports using excel spreadsheet.
To arrange meetings, conferences and events; mail personalized invitations, track RSVP’s, reserve space, order food/beverage service, work with Facilities on event logistics, and provide copies of required materials.
To maintain budget and perform monthly reconciliation using on-line accounts.
To assist with preparation and execution of special events maintain confidential files and assist with meeting preparation and research.
To plan for and facilitate mailings for special events.
To use resources provided by work study students.
To draft, edit and proofread highly confidential correspondence to University benefactors.
To work with appropriate staff to ensure timely acknowledgement for all major gifts.
To interact with major prospect information and maintain strict confidentiality.
To perform other office responsibilities as required by the associate vice president for development and other department supervisors.
Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
3 to 5 years experience working in high traffic office setting.
Attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
Experience with event planning/support.
Experience with Datatel/Colleague Advancement is preferred.
Please note this is a Grade 6 position in the Clerical & Technical Unit.
