Under direct supervision, maintains and updates data and information on students for retention and academic performance purposes. Contacts University students through phone, email, and/or personal visits to provide support and encourage retention and student success.
High school diploma or GED plus one year of experience directly related to the Summary of Duties.
Knowledge of working with diverse individuals and personalities.
Skills in record maintenance.
Skills in organization and coordination for efficiency of workload productivity.
Skills with computer software.
Ability to work as an effective team member with other staff members.
Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
Ability to maintain calendars and schedule appointments.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to a diverse group or individuals.
Ability to instruct and motivate students to continue their education.
Ability and experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and Word.
Ability to communicate effectively.
