*Saint Leo University is creating a pool of potential adjunct university supervisors to supervise university campus students during their field placements.
Appointments are for immediate and upcoming terms.
An adjunct university supervisor in the Education program(s) is a semester to semester appointment with responsibility to supervise students during their practicum and final internship field placements.
This includes the electronic recording of certain assessments to comply with Florida Department of Education accreditation requirements.
Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution is the minimum requirement for undergraduate programs. Doctorate degree from a regionally accredited institution is required for graduate programs.
Three or more years of successful K-12 teaching experience is required of all adjunct and full-time faculty who teach in the education programs
A Master’s degree and at least 18 graduate credit hours in Education is the minimum requirement for undergraduate programs. The degree must be from a regionally accredited institution.
Documentation of 3 or more years of successful K-12 teaching experience is required of all adjunct and full-time faculty who teach or supervise in the education programs. A current teaching certificate is preferred, but an expired teaching certificate or other documentation of K-12 teaching experience is acceptable.
Instructors supervising pre-service teachers in field experiences are required to provide documentation of Clinical Educator Training or comparable training to work with teacher candidates.
A Doctorate degree in Elementary or Secondary Education, or Educational Leadership from a regionally accredited institution is preferable.
Instructors teaching ESOL infused courses or supervising the ESOL practicum are required to provide documentation of ESOL endorsement or 60 hours of professional development in working with English Language Learners.
Documentation of 3 years of K-12 teaching experience is Required.
