Detailed Job Description

The Audio Visual Integration Specialist III develops proprietary control system programs and graphical user interfaces for integrated audio visual systems. Coordinates and supports the overall design and installation of these systems across campus. Serves as advanced level technical support for UA faculty, staff and other AVS technicians. Manages projects or particular project tasks related to programming development and AV system design. Mentors and trains less experienced AVS staff and student workers.

Additional Department Summary:

This position will install and maintain all presentation classrooms, conference rooms, digital signage systems, conferencing systems, and Emergency P.A. systems at The University of Alabama, and will occasionally support live events.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 1 year of audio visual installation/programming experience, OR high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 5 years audio visual experience, OR any equivalent combination of experience, training, education and/or certification from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been obtained. May require system specific training or certification.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier.

Skills and Knowledge:

Working knowledge of customer service, project lead principles, and the ability to communicate clearly with end-users.

Preferred Qualifications:

CTS and other industry certifications (Extron, Crestron) preferred. 57 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 32614.44 Midpoint - $ 47299.20
