Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the Production Assistant works closely with supervisors and clients to create website content and structure pertaining to the needs of both the UCCU Center and its clients. Organizes and strategically enhances the social media reach and presence of the UCCU Center. Designs and creates graphic content for websites, digital signage, and social media. Creates and leads videos and video productions for sporting events, concerts, and other events. Works closely with the Production Manager to meet the video and graphic needs of all of the UCCU Center’s clients.
High School graduation or GED plus 3 years of experience related to the essential functions of the position.
Associates Degree in Web Design or Graphic Design.
Knowledge in web design to include HTML and CSS Coding.
Knowledge and understanding of art and graphic design.
Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms(Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
Knowledge of professional video production and the use of switchers, live graphic systems, and instant replay systems.
Knowledge of professional lighting including procedures, practices, techniques, and terminology.
Knowledge of fixtures, consoles, dimmers, and safety.
Knowledge of professional audio sound reinforcement including procedures, practices, techniques, and terminology.
Knowledge of speakers, amplifiers, mixers, microphones, common wiring, connections, and safety.
Knowledge of professional video production including procedures, practices, techniques, and terminology.
Knowledge of video formats and methods, video displays, projectors, video cameras, lenses, switchers, replay systems, common wiring, connection types, and safety.
Knowledge of troubleshooting equipment and making minor repairs.
Skills in interpersonal communication both written and verbal.
Skills in problem solving and decision-making.
Skills in time management in a fast pace and stressful environment.
Skills in Computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, social media platforms, real time graphics, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, and Adobe After Effects.
Ability to work with promoters, managers, and event staff to provide exceptional experiences and positive associations with the UCCU Center, its events, and Utah Valley University.
Ability to capture, store, organize, edit, caption, and post engaging photographs and video in regard to advertising the UCCU Center and its events.
Ability to manage and supervise staff and to communicate verbally and in writing.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.
