Detailed Job Description

Under the direction of the Director of Graduate Studies for the School of Education, the Coordinator provides leadership and support for all programmatic issues for the School of Education’s endorsement programs, including, but not limited to, recruitment, enrollment, and program delivery for a diverse group of nontraditional students. The Coordinator oversees delivery of distance classes and is responsible for observing and evaluating distance classes. The Coordinator also serves as liaison to partner with school districts in establishing and maintaining quality site-based endorsement classes.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a associate’s degree with two years of experience in youth programs or event management or a combination of education and experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling four years.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with a BA/BS degree in education or a related field OR any combination of education and experience totaling 5 years.


Practical knowledge of K-12 classroom, school district, and state office of education organizations, as well as an understanding of the organizational structures in higher education, particularly UVU.


Skills in creating and using simple spreadsheets, following oral and written instructions.

Skills in communicating effectively by phone and in person, through creating literate letters, emails, and other communications.


Ability to create and maintain a positive and helpful relationship with students, instructors, and school district personnel involved in endorsement programs.

Ability to establish efficient and collaborative relationships with staff and administrators in the SOE and across UVU in developing and implementing endorsement programs.

Pay Range

$14.45 - $18.06 per hour
