The Campus Visit Coordinator position is responsible for the day-to-day planning and coordination of various campus visitation programs. The visitation coordinator will also be responsible for meeting with prospective students and families and providing guidance as it relates to the admission process and educational opportunities at Washington State University (WSU). This position will be responsible for providing admission presentations to visiting families and large groups visiting campus. Additional responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: working with the Director and Associate Director in the planning and implementation of a strategic recruitment plan; coordinating recruitment efforts with regional counselors, college recruiters, alumni, diversity outreach specialists, Multicultural Student Services; and performing other duties as assigned by the Associate Director.
A Bachelor’s Degree and one (1) year of experience directly related to student services. A Master’s degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Experience working in education or with high school and community college age students.
Experience in planning and implementing large-scale events.
Knowledge of targeted recruitment programs specific to WSU’s strategic plan.
Knowledge of student recruitment, college admissions, and WSU.
Knowledge of admissions procedures, academic programs, financial aid and scholarships and a broad base of knowledge regarding Washington State University.
