Wheaton College (IL) is seeking to fill a full-time one-semester visiting faculty position beginning January 1, 2016 and also a possible full-time, tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank beginning July 1, 2016 in our Masters program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to the integration of Christian faith and theology with counseling, possess a terminal degree in Counselor Education or a related discipline, have an established professional identity as a counselor educator, and be licensed or license-eligible as a clinical professional counselor (LCPC) in Illinois.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge and experience with teaching courses across the CACREP core and have experience in the professional development of clinical skills at the Masters level. Applicants will be primarily responsible for teaching clinical mental health counseling core courses that may include but are not limited to counseling theories, multicultural issues and social advocacy, substance abuse and addictions, and practicum and internship supervision. Other responsibilities include scholarship, mentoring, and providing service to the community and college.
