Work on an NSF-funded project to investigate the role of cluster analysis in identifying misconceptions regarding particulate, symbolic, and macroscopic representations in undergraduate learning of chemistry; mentor chemistry education research (CER) graduate and undergraduate students; participate in joint group meetings of the CER groups at Miami University; present research at conferences and draft manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication.
Ph.D. from an accredited institution in chemistry, chemistry education, science education, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience with one or more of the following: conducting chemistry education/science education research on misconceptions, particulate representations, or assessment; analyzing complex datasets and use of multivariate statistics; cluster analysis; analyzing qualitative data; strong oral and written communication skills, including ability to work/collaborate with others.
