The College of Pharmacy, Washington State University (WSU) in Spokane, WA invites applications for a 12 month, full time, permanent, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor (commensurate with experience) in the Section of Experimental and Systems Pharmacology. Requirements: Applicants must have an earned terminal advanced degree (either a Ph.D. in mathematics, engineering, or life sciences, or an M.D. or a PharmD or equivalent) and at least 12 months of related post-doctoral experience by the date of hire. Candidates considered will have a track record of accomplishment that demonstrates the potential to become an outstanding scholar and educator.
Duties: The successful candidate will teach pharmacokinetics in the professional and graduate curricula, mentor professional students, graduate students and fellows, and maintain an active, extramurally-funded research program focused on issues related to drug disposition and action. Preference will be given to candidates whose research programs emphasize translational research and/or mathematical modeling and simulation.

The College of Pharmacy is located on the WSU Health Sciences campus in Spokane, WA, the second largest city in the state. The College is expanding its research and graduate education capacity across its academic units, including Experimental and Systems Pharmacology, Pharmacotherapy, and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Areas of research emphasis in the College include identification of novel drug targets, pharmacology, drug-nutrient interactions, pharmacogenetics and pharmacogenomics, drug delivery and drug discovery.
The College of Pharmacy shares the WSU Health Sciences campus with the Colleges of Nursing and Medical Sciences (an emerging College of Medicine). The faculty are actively collaborating with surrounding hospitals and the WSU campus in Pullman. Hence, the College of Pharmacy is uniquely positioned for multidisciplinary collaborations and translational research projects.
