Under the supervision of the Transportation Program Manager, supports faculty, staff, and department operations by fueling, washing, procuring, maintaining, repairing, delivering, and servicing fleet vehicles necessary for the continuation and progression of Emergency Services/ Utah Fire & Rescue Academy programs. Support logistics as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED and three years of experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to three years. Technical or vocational degree may substitute for experience.
Class B CDL License Required.
Fork Lift certified preferred.
Active Class A CDL License preferred.
Knowledge of mechanical operations. Knowledge of standard automotive repair procedures and techniques.
Knowledge of vehicle lift systems. Knowledge of federal, state, and local codes and ordinances pertinent to automotive and maintenance.
Basic computer skills and knowledge. Skills with managing and prioritizing multiple projects and assignments.
Ability to drive up to class B vehicle.
Ability to maintain accurate records and files.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting; Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
Ability to work in a team environment.
