To collaborate with faculty to develop strategic research endeavors. Interacts with external parties, facilitates research, creates, reviews and edits grant proposals/contracts. Ability to conduct independent research or be a co-investigator on grants.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Develops and transforms ideas into grant proposals in collaboration with faculty. Participates in pre-award grant proposal development including grant writing and budget preparation.

Maintains knowledge of areas involved in identifying and soliciting grants-particularly with the military. Collaborates with various internal departments and investigates funding opportunities. Knowledge requiring eligibility requirements, restrictions and deadlines

Can performs independent research and serves as Primary Investigator or Co-Investigator. Performs project tasks and analysis.

Consults on grant management during pre and post award status, keeps current with University policies and procedures. Ensures confidentiality on all files relates to grants and contracts.

Participates in grant status activity, tracking progress and staff as related to grant funding
