Detailed Job Description

This temporary part time position serves as administrative support to the evening/weekend Administrator on Duty (AOD).  We are looking for a maximum of 6 individuals to work one night/morning a week for 3 hrs. per shift.  Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Answering calls forwarded from MCC switchboard after 4:30.
  • Posting class cancellation signs on appropriate classroom door(s).
  • Meet and greet students with Advising and Counseling appointments.
  • Scheduling appointments using Grades First system.
  • Supporting Administrator on Duty.
  • Supporting evening adjunct faculty.
  • Accepting and securing DCE evaluation forms.
  • Updating mailbox names each semester for current adjunct faculty.

The candidate should have proficiency in oral and written communication; demonstrated interpersonal skills; and computer competency with mandatory knowledge of the College's BANNER system.  The ability to organize work, maintain files and work independently is also required.  The candidate should be supportive in areas of diversity and have a commitment to the College's goal of sustainability.  Grades First training will be provided.

Worksite: The candidate will be located in the Lower Level of the Student Center on the Brockton Campus.

Hourly Rate: $25.00 per hour, no benefits. Rate is dependent on experience and educational qualifications of the successful candidate.

Term of Appointment: This is a temporary, part time, hourly position with an open end date.  The hours are Monday through Friday, 4:30pm to 7:30pm and Saturday morning 9:30am to 12:30pm.

Reports to: Staff Assistant to the Vice President of Academic Affairs
