Performs a variety of administrative and clerical tasks in support of department’s daily operations. The position will be appointed 50% to Marketing and 50% to Management. Experiential Learning programs for both departments will be supported by this position.
1. Assists users of departments’ services by providing information, answering questions (face-to-face and by phone), concerning faculty contacts, completing appropriate forms, etc.
2.May assist in the performance of various financial and budgetary tasks and reports.
3. May assist with administrative tasks including ordering supplies/awards, maintain inventory, preparing requisitions, scheduling use of conference rooms, maintaining calendars.
4.May prepare or help prepare various written materials including correspondence, assignments, exams.
5.May maintain and update files and records, access and maintain department databases (Sedona).
6.May assist in the performance of various clerical tasks including answering phones, typing, proofreading, copying, distributing mail.
7.May assist with scheduling of classrooms during class scheduling.
8.May assist with adding students and communicating with students during force add. (Includes: Point of contact for students accepted in the Highwire program each semester. Register accepted students in Banner.)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics:
Knowledge of standard office procedures and equipment; knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications; some knowledge of administrative procedures which may include budgeting, research, preparing fiscal and other reports; supervisory skills; research skills. Knowledge of university systems preferred (i.e., Banner, MINE, Buyway).
This position supports two academic departments and two experiential learning programs. The successful candidate should be adaptable and possess the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Requires six months of coursework or training beyond high school in Business Administration and three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
