Work with senior leadership and campus stakeholders to analyze various data sets, reports, research, etc. to create knowledge that allows for excellent decisions and action. Accurately collect, report and record data required for regular reporting to various constituent groups including, but not limited to the following; Board of Trustees, Foundation Board of Directors, President’s Vice President Team, President’s Cabinet, Faculty Senate, Council of Administrators, Classified Council, Student Government, and Council of Chairs.
Develop and implement reporting systems for decision analysis and support and maintain metrics and measures for the University Strategic Plan and affiliated governance metrics. Create thorough analysis of various questions, problems, and knowledge needs by multiple individuals across the MSU Denver stakeholder spectrum. Assists in creating recommendations for action based on this analysis process.
Create custom reports on an as-needed basis, create and maintain in concert with ITS recurring reports, assure validity of data sets with ITS, cooperate in the design and maintenance of a unitized data and information system for use across campus. Perform research, surveys, data collection, etc. as needed to address MSU Denver opportunities and challenges.
Other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to, participation in Administration Branch action planning, university strategic planning, implementation of said plans, professional development, and various projects as needed by the office of the Vice President of Administration and the Office of Institutional Effectiveness.
•Bachelors Degree or relevant experience in this field. (If you use experience to determine qualified status, the standard is one year of education is equal to two years of experience.)
•Experience conducting research, analyzing trends and developing meaningful performance metrics.
•Experience with interpretive data or business intelligence.
•Experience and knowledge of conducting applied social science or educational research including research methodology, survey techniques, program evaluation, and descriptive and inferential statistical analysis
•Must have an understanding of data reconciliation and data integrity validation
•Must possess analytical skills associated with analysis of processes and problems and information flow
•Must have interpersonal and communications skills in order to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
•Experience working effectively in a team environment.
