This position exists to coordinate student experience operations, event planning and co-curricular programming associated with the newly formed unit in the College of Law, Student Experiences, which consists of Admissions, Career Services and Student Affairs. This position receives limited supervision and has freedom to determine how best to meet the service requirements for the area of responsibility. This position requires the ability to organize, prioritize, and allocate tasks and resources to meet the needs of students and the College of Law. This position requires communication with student leaders, student groups, and individuals who may disagree about services and priorities. This position also requires coordination with administrative and academic areas of the university to determine needs and priorities, obtain resources, and comply with university, campus, and departmental policies and procedures. The Student Experience Programs Coordinator may regularly supervise student workers and volunteers, or vendors to meet program requirements.

Specific Duties

Coordinate and Implement or in major campus programming initiatives, such as Commencement, Orientation, Awards Ceremonies, Recruitment Events (i.e. Information Sessions, Conversion Events) Student Handbook, and other large scale COL events.
Works with the Director of Student Experiences in the coordination of all recruiting and admissions activities of the College, both on campus and off-campus sites.
Provides workshops and training programs, and arranges programs and speakers, for students in a major area of Student Experiences and External Relations.
Serves as advisor to student organizations (Clubs Council), and promote holistic student activities (i.e. career, leadership, culture, health, etc.), coordinate community service, and volunteerism initiatives.
Utilizes student development theory and best practices to plan and implement student experiences that encourage and promote campus community, interpersonal development, and professional competencies for COL students; and, Creates and implements assessment tools and rubrics that support COL student learning outcomes and student experiences programming.

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, staff, faculty, and the public;
Demonstrated ability in project management and event planning;
Demonstrated skills in facilitating and modeling a quality customer service orientation;
Ability to work effectively within an ethnic, cultural and socially diverse student population.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate Education College Student Personnel, Counseling, Supervision, Leadership or Organizational Development desirable.
Experience working in Higher Education with students, staff, faculty and alumni.
Technological skills including: managing web content, graphic design, database manipulation, and MS Office suite
