Under general supervision, schedules patient appointments; answers phones and greets visitors; answers general questions; maintains patient records.
Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
Knowledge of office practices and procedures
Interpersonal/human relations skills
Ability to operate personal computer and perform data entry
Ability to respond to questions in a tactful and professional manner
Ability to work with constant interruptions
Ability to maintain records and files

High school diploma or equivalent; supplemented with one (1) year related work experience.
Schedules patient appointments and follow-ups; performs patient registration process, including demographics; maintains and scans patient information in database.
Answers phone and responds to inquiries; refers, routes, or places calls; places patient follow-up calls; serves as receptionist, greeting and assisting visitors, patients, etc.
Enters student immunization information in database and answers related inquiries.
Responds to Student Health Center general email or forwards inquiries to appropriate person when necessary; checks and returns calls from Student Health Center general voice mail and after hours messaging service; forwards phones and notifies answering service of holiday or meeting schedules.
Attends in-services and staff meetings; interacts with student workers.
Opens and distributes mail and faxes; maintains clean and neat work areas; performs other duties as assigned.
