Detailed Job Description

The Washington State University Foundation seeks a dynamic, driven, IT professional to serve a key role on the IT team.

The Position
Reporting to the IT Director, this position is responsible for a wide variety of advanced systems administration and project management. A hands on-approach, with the ability to connect and communicate with technical and non-technical staff is strongly desired.

The incumbent will assess project needs, goals and feasibility; establish project timelines, develop and monitor the project plan, communicate progress and risks; and identify and utilize measures for success.

The incumbent will also establish work procedures and innovative approaches to complete assignments; provide consulting, programming, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for clients; create installation plans; analyze and correct network malfunctions; serve as system administrator; monitor and enhance operating environments; and support, maintain and enhance existing applications.

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years professional experience OR a combination of education and experience totaling seven (7) years from which comparable knowledge and abilities are acquired. Education and experience may be tailored to specific need requirements of position.

Preferred Qualifications

An additional 4 years of progressive related experience.

Experience in working with Higher Education or non-profit environments.

Relevant Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE) certification(s).

Experience leading and/or supervising staff.

Monthly Salary

$6,666.67 - $7,000 DOE
