Detailed Job Description

Under the direction of the Ambassador Program Manager (PSS), this position assists in all duties related to managing the Wolverine Ambassador Program including hiring, training and developing 120 student leaders who represent the university to key constituents and prospective UVU students. This includes event planning, report generating, training and supporting the Ambassador Leadership team, program evaluation, and program completion initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED plus six months to one year of related experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

1 year of experience with student leadership programs in higher education and/or higher education recruitment practices in the state of Utah.


Knowledge of office methods and techniques. Knowledge of Microsoft suite.

Knowledge of higher education recruitment practices in the state of Utah.

Knowledge of management and program management.

Knowledge of student leadership programs.


Skills in organization and event planning.

Skills in budgeting.

Skills in motivation and organizational behavior.

Skills in record management.

Skills in interpersonal communication both written and verbal.


Ability to perform a wide variety of support duties for the office of prospective students including drafting professional emails, making professional phone calls, creating readable and detailed reports, event planning, etc.

Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of hierarchical structures both written and verbal.

Pay Range

$11.11 - $13.88 / hour
