The Bates College Department of Biology invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor of Functional Morphology, beginning 1 August 2016. Ph.D. required by start date, postdoctoral experience preferred.

The successful applicant’s teaching will include comparative vertebrate anatomy; rotation through our core course in Organismal Biology (Bio 190); and electives that serve our major, related fields of study, and general education requirements. The specific research area within functional morphology is open, but we expect teaching and thesis supervision to make connections to other majors such as Environmental Studies, Mathematics, Neuroscience, Physics, or Theater & Dance.

Ph.D. required by start date, postdoctoral experience preferred.
