Academic Student Support Services

Performs routine administrative duties in the day-to-day functions of the office; perform other duties as required.

Basic Function:

• Provides secretarial support to the Director and other staff
• Interviews, hires and trains all desk and office assistant student employees

• Manages all budget and purchasing transactions for department

• Supports Facebook and Twitter accounts for the LRC

General Administration:

• Assists Director with processing new hire paperwork
• Procures and stocks office forms
• Orders office supplies and equipment
• Produces publicity materials for the department.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

• AA from accredited institution
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Able to work independently with little supervision
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) and Internet resources, such as Collaborate

Minimum Qualifications:

• AA from accredited institution
• Knowledge of MS Office

Preferred Qualifications:

• BA/BS from accredited institution.
• Administrative experience, higher education administration experience
• Experience with non-traditional students preferred.
• MA/MED degree from accredited institution
