Washington State University College of Nursing, Spokane, Washington is seeking exceptional faculty applicants to contribute to our established research strengths in 1) Health Disparities; 2) Behavioral Health; 3) Chronic Conditions; 4) Community and Environmental Health; 5) Patient Care, Quality and Safety.
The faculty member will be responsible for: 1) building new research teams while complementing or augmenting current areas of faculty research; 2) maintaining an ongoing, extramurally-funded program of research; 3) publishing and presenting research findings nationally and internationally; 4) teaching undergraduate, master’s and/or doctoral students; 5) advising undergraduate and graduate students; 6) serving on master’s and doctoral committees; and 7) providing service to the university, community and profession of nursing.
Tenure-track/tenured position openings are at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor. Salary, rank and tenure status are dependent upon experience and qualifications.
1) A doctoral degree in nursing or a related discipline* by date of hire.
2) Demonstrated ability to design and conduct studies addressing salient nursing and health care issues congruent with College of Nursing areas of research distinction.
1) Licensed or eligible for RN licensure in Washington State.
2) Eligible for certification as a family nurse practitioner or psychiatric nurse practitioner in Washington State.
3) Experience in teaching and advising graduate and/or undergraduate students.
4) Experience with technology assisted education modalities.
5) Demonstrated commitment to diversity, addressing social determinants of health and the reduction of health disparities.
6) Demonstrated capacity to build productive interdisciplinary research teams, mentor junior faculty, earn external funding, and publish in peer reviewed journals.
