This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing Student Financial Services operations and compliance, including supervision of managers and/or supervisors. This position strategizes with the Assistant Vice President and supervisors of Student Financial Services. The position is responsible for supervising the staff and supervisors of compliance and operations in Student Financial Services.
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in a related field which has included at least two (2) years of management experience. A Master’s degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Master’s degree in relevant field Experience with financial aid and scholarships business practices that are unique to the state of Washington and to Washington State University Experience with Oracle PeopleSoft 9.0 Campus Solutions Financial Aid PeopleSoft Query Manager experience Demonstrated ability to lead technology-based solutions to business problems Exceptional communications skills Experience in creating training materials and providing training to diverse persons at multiple levels of experience in the subject matter Demonstrated experience in creating efficiencies and increasing productivity of systems and/or employees
