The Disability Support Services Specialist is responsible for providing services to credit and noncredit students, faculty, staff and contracted individuals with disabilities. The specialist is responsible for using his/her background in special education, school psychology, or rehabilitative counseling to provide services and activities that enhance the learning of students with disabilities. The primary functions of the specialist are to review disability documentation to determine appropriate accommodations and to be the point of contact for deaf students in scheduling interpreters.
