Washington State University College of Nursing is seeking applications from exceptional nurses who hold a DNP or PhD in nursing or related field. We are particularly interested in individuals with a DNP or PhD in nursing prepared as Family Nurse Practitioners to fill a Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate or Clinical Professor position within our College. The College has a reputation for delivering high quality undergraduate and graduate programs. Our faculty, along with graduates of our programs, are recognized throughout the nation for their sound research, clinical skills and ability to practice evidence-based nursing.
Clinical Faculty members will be responsible for: (a) teaching undergraduate and/or graduate students; (b) clinical supervision and/or clinical instruction; © serving on master’s thesis, clinical and/or DNP project committees; (d) advising undergraduate and/or graduate students; (e) maintaining clinical expertise including credentials appropriate to specialty and teaching responsibilities; (f) participating in clinical scholarship; and (g) providing service to the university, community and profession of nursing.
Clinical track position openings are at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor. Salary and rank are dependent upon experience and qualifications.
Required (by date of hire):
1. Hold a DNP or PhD in Nursing or related field
2. Licensed or eligible for RN licensure in WA.
3. Clinical expertise in area of instruction
Preferred (by date of hire):
1. Doctorate degree (PhD, DNP) in nursing strongly preferred.
2. Advanced Practice Nurse with specialization as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
3. Experience teaching in clinical and classroom and advise graduate and/or undergraduate students
4. Experience teaching using various distance-education modalities
5. Experience in diversity, social justice, and the reduction of health disparities
6. Demonstrated involvement in evidence-based clinical innovation and/or scholarship
